What We Do
WROC aims to provide holistic services and programmes that promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and youth.
These services and programmes are rooted in the attainment of women's rights as described in the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) as well as the achievement of the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs), to which Jamaica is a signatory. This is accomplished through the work of four focus areas or clusters:
- Health and Wellness
- Sustainable Livelihoods
- Advocacy, Research and Communications
- Community Capacity-Building
Additionally, WROC engages in a number of collaborations with international and local donors as well as civil society organisations to accomplish its goals.
